Where oh where has my little..................well big voice gone?
You never realize just how much you use your voice until it takes a hike on you. I have allergies and around this time of year they seem to get active. Usually all that happens is that I will sneeze and maybe do a little coughing. A few years ago I had allergies so bad that I cracked a rib coughing. That was not fun I can tell you. I have this thing about breathing. It tends to keep me alive. Anyway, the past two days I have woken up a little stuffy and did some sneezing, not a big deal when you consider my cracked rib a year ago. Well I woke up this morning and my voice decided to take a vacation. I still made it into church today but I had to mouth the hymns and responsive readings. We then went to a friend's house for lunch. For about 4 hours my voice was as good as gone. I am still horse (Go ahead, you know you want to). What I can't figure out is that I don't do nearly the amount of talking that Mike does and he hasn't lost his voice but once. And that was at a time where he needed to use his voice. The only other thing I can come up with is while we were coming home from closing the deal on our car we were almost T-boned by a lady pulling out from a parking lot. I must have left my voice behind with my heart. I hope I am better tomorrow so I can talk to my girls Tara and Elisa.
